Hi! I'm Theta (not my real name if you can believe it) and I'm an 18 year old bio student from the Pacific Northwest United States. I'm camera shy and like my privacy so you get my Pocket Camp avatar that looks roughly like me instead of any pictures.
I like plants, crocheting, and obsessing over classic literature like a high school English teacher, and I very much dislike general chemistry and (non-frozen) yogurt.
My favorite flower is Collinsia parviflora, a wildflower that can be found on the sides of trails in ponderosa pine forests. I will audibly squeal if I see one on a walk. This is an unhealthy obsession. My favorite non-flowering plant is Welwitschia mirabilis, an odd-looking gymnosperm from the deserts of Angola and Namibia. I will audibly squeal if I see one in a greenhouse, and one of my projects for the ceramics class I took a year ago had a welwitschia motif. This is an unhealthy obsession.
I will be going into my fourth year of college (second year at a university) this fall where I will finally be taking some plant-centric classes. For now I'm spending my days binging anime (I finished Attack on Titan in a week; it's a problem), crocheting, doing my summer genetics class that I hate, and just generally chilling.
Polemoniaceae is the name of the family of plants including phlox. I have no idea why I chose that specifically. It's not even my favorite plant family (my favorite probably has to be something like Lamiaceae).
